Interests

(Micro) Impact Investing - more social bang for your buck!

Jen's been micro-investing her own money in small businesses around the world through the organisation Kiva since April 2017. With a deposit of $539, Jen has lent those funds almost 3 times over, with loans of $1,475 made to 56 borrowers in 24 countries across 12 sectors, with a low default rate of 6.39% (only $49.55 defaulted in 3.5 years).

Travel and the outdoors

Jen loves the outdoors, travelling and trying new languages. She lived in Hokkaido, Japan for 3 years in her 20s, but has since hung up the snowboard boots :). She continues to enjoy hiking and camping. Highlights include climbing Mount Fuji's old pilgrim route in 2008 and Spain's Camino Way in 2016. She now has her sights set on the Larapinta Trail and then maybe the Kokoda Track.
